GDI Hub’s Attvaran, an innovative Assistive Technology (AT) startup accelerator and the influential NCPEDP are thrilled to announce Empower 2024 Pitch Day, which will take place on October 17, 2024, at the National Institute for Speech and Hearing in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Attvaran is a collaborative effort between University College London, the Global Disability Innovation Hub, IIT Delhi, and IIT Madras, with support from the UK Government’s AT2030 program. In partnership with the National Centre for the Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP), Empower 2024 will provide a unique platform for shortlisted startups to pitch their innovations to leading investors, angel funds, and grant providers.

This exclusive event is designed to accelerate the growth of AT solutions, focusing on improving accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities. The day will begin with an inspiring plenary workshop on managing grants and a dynamic panel discussion on investing in assistive technology. Following this, two parallel pitching sessions will occur—one for grant funding and another for angel and venture capital investment.

This Pitch Day at Empower 2024 will mark a critical step in driving forward innovations that impact people’s lives, and we encourage startups and investors to join us in building a more inclusive future. Startups focused on AT are invited to apply for pitch opportunities. At the same time, investors are encouraged to participate in this exclusive event to discover and support new ventures in a much-needed and growing sector.
