GDI Accelerate
GDI Accelerate (GDIA) acts as a support engine, enabling the translation of innovation into practice: supporting Innovation Sprints and Accelerators.
GDIA will pilot FoundersThink across its accelerator programs, giving assistive technology and disability innovation founders a disability and assistive technology market-aware AI thinking partner from early idea through to a fundable, scalable solution. FoundersThink works alongside founders on the decisions, funding routes, and user challenges that typically stall a venture. The pilot is being tested as a model for regional growth, sitting inside the broader GDIA accelerator infrastructure alongside mentorship, venture readiness support, and embedded technical assistance.
GDIA is running Innovation Sprints that support the Centre for Digital Language Inclusion (CDLI) work.
Each sprint brings together developers, linguists, speech therapists, and users alongside community partners, academic institutions, and local technology ecosystems to develop applications using our open-source datasets and models. Through structured support and deep engagement, Innovation Sprints generate practical solutions tailored to local needs, from communication apps to educational tools, while simultaneously building lasting technical capacity within communities.
