Disability inclusive Solutions for the Climate Crisis: Roundtable
Register
Join us for a full-day participatory roundtable and workshop exploring the intersection of disability inclusion and climate action.
Hosted by the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), and funded by our UK International Development AT2030 programme and UCL Grand Challenges, this event will bring together researchers, practitioners, and non-academic stakeholders to explore innovative, disability-inclusive approaches for tackling the global climate crisis.
Throughout the day, we’ll present existing evidence on inclusive urban climate action, convene thematic working groups, and hold cross-sector discussions spanning inclusive infrastructure, assistive technology, and disaster response.
Together, we’ll identify collaborative opportunities for research and practice, challenge siloed approaches to disability research, and explore how inclusive methods can drive systemic change for climate resilience. Lunch and refreshments are covered by the organisers and the day will conclude with an informal networking.
Agenda highlights include:
- Evidence presentation: Disability-inclusive urban climate action
- Working group discussions: Inclusive infrastructure, assistive technology, urban development, disaster response, & more
- Stakeholder reflections & roundtable conversations
- Refreshments, networking & opportunities to collaborate
Please note that this free event is designed as a collaborative research activity at the University College London and participants will receive more information on the ethics and consent process after filling out the sign-up form.
