    For the first time in history on the African continent, the Paralympic Games were broadcast for free on a large scale and allowed the whole population to discover a new and vital facet of Para sports.
The exposure provided by the main free to air channels in most of the Sub-Saharan countries of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Games not only demonstrated the tremendous emotional appeal of this spectacle along with the incredible performances of the athletes, it also helped to raise awareness and importance of inclusion among both the general population and sports enthusiasts.
This report from broadcaster TVMS documents some of the outputs and approaches to the screening of the Paralympics as part of the AT2030 Sport Against Stigma programme.
