Building Capacity and Participation for Community-Led Solutions through Inclusive Spaces
Public spaces play a crucial role in Kelayan Barat, Benjarmasin in supporting both social and economic aspects of citizens lives. Residents of Kelayan Barat were invited to take part in a co-design participatory process, developed in partnership with Kota Kita and AT2030, UCL researchers. This co-design process was chosen to identify the collective needs and aspirations of residents for a public space.
This video now takes a look at the constructed public space in Kelayan Barat. Residents and stakeholders share the experience of designing and constructing the inclusive public space, some of the challenges they encountered along the way and the impact it has had on the community.
