Yirah O Conteh
National Chair at FEDURP
Yirah O Conteh, is the National Chairperson of the Federation of the Urban and Rural Poor (FEDURP). Yirah lives in the hillside settlement of Dwarzark (in Italy), one of Freetown’s largest informal settlements. He is the vocal person for slum dwellers in Sierra Leone. As a key partner to the AT2030 project, Yirah organised and coordinated the operations of the project in the two communities. He hopes to change perceptions about disabled people as he looks forward to involving disabled people into the work of the federation.
