Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship Programme
The Royal Acadmy of Engineering Fellowship (RAEng) is a cornerstone of AT2030’s incubate strategy, designed to support innovators at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 and above. It complements the GDI Accelerate workstreams by ensuring a continuous pipeline from ideation to deployment and adoption. Fellows receive seed funding, mentorship, and investor readiness training, enabling them to refine their solutions, build sustainable ventures, and engage with impact investors. The programme fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, drawing on UK expertise and global lived experience to accelerate inclusive innovation. Strategically, the Fellowship plays a critical role in:
- Bridging the gap between early-stage innovation (supported by GDIA and CDLI) and market-ready solutions.
- Embedding inclusive design principles into scalable technologies.
- Strengthening regional ecosystems, with fellows often acting as catalysts for local innovation hubs and policy engagement.

The Advance 2026
- Advance is a bespoke programme of relationship-building and business growth activities for engineering and tech entrepreneurs who are ready to scale internationally. The programme supports participants to grow their businesses responsibly and sustainably, develop their leadership and soft skills, and expand their networks into the UK. The AT2030 Frontiers
- The AT2030 Frontiers seed funding programme: Following the AT2030 Frontiers symposium, ten projects were selected for funding. These projects address real-world challenges and align with the overarching AT2030 research question: “What works to improve access to assistive technology for the people who need it around the world?” This funding round aims to support ecosystems of belonging and interdependence, emphasising inclusive innovation as a transformational process.
